ABOUT THE JOB:

We’re looking for an innovative direct marketer to help us engage and build a relationship with the households in our programs.   The ultimate goal is to get more people to take more actions to reduce their home energy use. 

We already have a great baseline of engagement with our Home Energy Reports.  A majority of report recipients pay attention to the personalized information we send, which results in a broad-based reduction in energy use.  You will be responsible for finding ways to engage the customers who currently don’t pay attention to the reports, and also to deepen participation from those who are already engaged.  In particular, we want to motivate people to use our advanced online tools and community features, to set savings goals, and to take advantage of utility rebates and other energy efficiency programs. 

To achieve these goals you will partner with our client program managers to design the right communication plan to maximize the effectiveness of each utility program.  You’ll also work closely with the product development team to ensure we have the right software features to support your strategies.   

This is a ‘soup to nuts’ role – you will develop new marketing strategies and concepts, work with creative resources (internal and external) to implement the best ideas, and then work to incorporate the best elements into our programs across clients. 

 

ABOUT YOU: 

• You love the challenge of direct marketing – getting people to take specific action through compelling copy and creative that provides the right ‘nudge’

• You have a minimum of five (5) years of consumer direct marketing experience, driving results in both print and online channels.

• You are great at strategy AND tactics – and you enjoy operating at both levels.  You generate great new ideas, and then get your hands dirty to deliver great results.

• You have experience and success managing internal and external marketing team resources

* You’re also always eager to bring your own sketches and copy to the table.

• You know the importance of delivering the right message to the right target, and you have proven success developing segmented marketing campaigns.

• You know how to design and execute effective consumer market research plans and instruments.

• You thrive in an entrepreneurial setting, where constant change is the norm.

• You have a strong abilities to work as a member of a high-performance, multi-tasking team, including efficient time management of multiple projects and deadlines, and effective communication to all levels within the organization.
